Plastics have evolved with at such a pace that it is hard to imagine our daily lives without them. They reflect our present lifestyle: dynamic, lightweight, versatile, scientific progress and energy saving.

They also allow for the optimising of natural resources, by substituting other materials that in the same applications would have a greater impact on the environment.

At the same time, their multiple uses inevitably generate wastes. We value the usefulness of plastic materials but we never cease to be concerned about the waste we find around us.

CICLOPLAST, in being aware of this problem has organised the Touring Exhibition "Plastics with the Environment" to make the world of plastics better known and to support with solutions the predisposition of the citizenry towards preserving the Environment.

Every year, Cicloplast dedicates the main part of its resources to environmental education, with the objective of making the citizenry aware to the most adequate environmental practices for recycling plastics, and specifically in making good and correct use of the yellow container.

Through the Touring Exhibition "Plastics with the Environment", it provides information and educates. It PROVIDES INFORMATION on the "unknown" relating to plastic materials on one hand. And on the other it EDUCATES on the most appropriate environmental practices for recycling waste plastics.

At the Exhibition, Cicloplast tells us what plastic materials are and where they are present in our everyday lives, it shows us their applications, from the most simple and commonplace, to the most spectacular, on how objects are made out of plastic, it tells us how plastics are managed, recovered and recycled, the importance of the participation of the citizenry in selective collection of household wastes, and finally it exhibits objects made of recycled plastic: jerseys, fences, bollards, palettes, benches, flowerpots, wastepaper baskets, floor tiles, etc.
